Jak wcze¶niej zosta³o og³oszone, World Amateur Radio Day (18 kwietnia) ma has³o "Amateur Radio: Twoje zasoby w nag³ych wypadkach i katastrofach komunikatu" jako jego temat w tym roku.
Nastêpne GlobalSET zosta³a zaplanowana na 2 maja 2009, ale po spotkaniu mia³em z IARU Region 1 Komitet Wykonawczy w niedzielê zasugerowano, ¿e termin powinien zostaæ przeniesione na 18 kwietnia, aby skorzystaæ z mo¿liwo¶ci reklamowych World Amateur Radio Day .
Jest to trudne do zignorowania sugestia od przypadku odbywania siê imprezy pod auspicjami IARU. Mogliby¶my uzyskaæ i dostarczyæ wiêcej jawno¶ci w przypadku, poprzez w³±czenie go do ¦wiatowego dnia i to tylko dwa tygodnie wcze¶niej. Co wa¿niejsze jako awaryjne reaguj±cych trudno jest powiedzieæ, ¿e jest to niemo¿liwe - jak robimy to w nag³ych wypadkach, nie mieliby¶my byæ w stanie czekaæ kilka tygodni, a¿ wszyscy s± gotowi do rzeczywistego zagro¿enia. I tak¿e co najmniej jednego kraju, który jest oddanie do wysi³ku ¦wiat dni i nie mo¿e uczestniczyæ w GlobalSET je¶li odbywa siê oddzielnie, dwa tygodnie pó¼niej :-(
Z drugiej strony równie¿ nale¿y wiedzieæ, ¿e niektóre stacje nie bêd± dostêpne ze wzglêdu na ¶wiêta, która uczyni to trochê trudniejsze w miejscach.
Godzinypozostan±, to jest 1100-1500UTC, ale poniewa¿ jest to ¦wiatowy Dzieñ Amateur Radio nie bêdzie wiêcej elastyczno¶ci w odniesieniu do tych, którzy chc± dzia³aæ d³u¿ej.
I zosta³y opó¼nione w przyygotowaniu koñcowego sprawozdania z ostatniego GlobalSET rodziny ze wzglêdu na choroby, ale moje pomys³y na przepisy nastêpne wydarzenie jest do¶æ dobrze rozwiniêta i zostanie umieszczona na tej li¶cie w ci±gu nastêpnych kilku dni - bêdziemy musieli to i tak, aby sprostaæ maja daty.

Hi,
as previously announced, World Amateur Radio Day ( 18th April ) has "Amateur Radio: Your Resource in Disaster and Emergency Communication" as its theme this year.
The next GlobalSET was scheduled for 2nd May 2009 but following a meeting I had with the IARU Region 1 Executive Committee on Sunday it was suggested that the date should be brought forward to 18th April to make the most of the publicity opportunities of World Amateur Radio Day.
This is a difficult suggestion to ignore since the event is held under IARU auspices. We could get, and provide, more publicity for the event by linking it to the World Day and it is only two weeks earlier. More importantly as Emergency responders it is difficult to say that this is impossible - how would we do things in an emergency, we would not be able to wait a couple of weeks until everyone is ready for a real emergency. I also have at least one country which is putting effort into the World day and may not participate in GlobalSET if it is held separately two weeks later :-(
On the other hand I also know that some stations will not be available due to holidays which will make things a little harder in places.
The core hours for the event would remain 1100-1500UTC but since this is World Amateur Radio Day there would be more flexibility for those who want to operate longer.
I have been delayed in producing the final report on the last GlobalSET due to family illnesses but my ideas for the rules for the next event are fairly well developed and will be put onto this list in the next couple of days - we would have had to do this anyway to meet the May date.
What do you all think? Is it possible to bring the event forward ?
